Was a day of high heights and cold winds.
We visited Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun located on
Cheyenne Mountain.
Will Rogers was born in 1879.
He was one of the most well-known actors in the
1920's and 30's. Will Rogers tragically died in an Arctic
air plane crash in 1935.
The Shrine is a 114 feet high tower finished
two years after Will Rogers' death. The monument
is 8,000 feet above sea level.

For the second half of the day we went to
Helen Hunt Falls.
The waterfall is located under the bridge. It
was still iced over.
